The Celtic boss insisted he was not afraid of losing his job, maintaining, “We are extremely close to changing our fortunes,” in the wake of moving dangerously close to the exit with a comprehensive setback against Rangers.

Nancy’s Persistent Belief

“The performance we had at stages was of top quality. That is a fact. I wouldn't talk like that if it was untrue. Therefore, when it comes to wins, I mentioned this is the same story. That’s why I said that a change is coming to getting it right. But for the moment: the fine margins.”
“We produced many, many good things that we did, once more. The issue now is consistency. My narrative would change if it was not the case. Therefore I am a big believer we will manage to get back on track.”
Röhl’s Cautious Response
Danny Röhl refused to contemplate a title charge in spite of what seemed like a statement victory. “Step by step, then we can gradually build a challenge,” he said. “The confidence in the squad is excellent.”
