Netflix Selects Ideal Star for Bentham in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, although the major clash won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The platform declared Tuesday that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bentham. The role can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The performer, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a rendition of that figure re-envisioned as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action series, as in the original manga and anime.
The new cast member joins a number of recently announced actors tasked with bringing Baroque Works to life, featuring head Mr. 0, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the ensemble as the ruler of Alabasta.
Though the role is a important part of Baroque Works, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Given season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the character. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
Netflix's live-action One Piece series is set to return for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
