The tall defender A nuisance on corners and free-kicks, as always, but may be a replacement for his teammate in the backline as opposed to paired with him. A careless ball later in the match came close to the first goal from the visitors. 6

The young full-back Another confident display from the 20-year-old after his debut versus Serbia. Saka was unable to take the opportunity from a clever flick behind their defense. His position is his to lose already. 7/10

Adam Wharton A debut start in an England shirt. Somewhat careless on the ball but his inswinging set-pieces posed a danger. A handy tempo-setter available to the boss to call upon against sides that sit back. Booked for a rash challenge. 6/10

The midfielder Set-pieces from dead balls and free-kicks were dangerous. Enjoyed freedom to drift on the left only to be offside as the pass came in shooting positions. Awarded a deserved break around the 60-minute point. 6

The star midfielder Operated in a high position down the right and did plenty of the hard yards. Demonstrated glimpses of brilliance but mishit an effort high. Replaced towards the end for a teammate, a fellow player, after being booked. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's best chance of the first half, his shot excellently kept out from Thomas Strakosha. With a teammate hanging back, it fell to him to stretch the play on the right yet his deliveries into the box were hit and miss. Substituted late in the match. 6

Harry Kane The decisive figure scoring two more finishes at international level. His first a trademark close-range tap-in while the second an excellent headed goal following a clever run off his defender. Now 32, he’s only getting better with the national team stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. 8/10

The attacker Struggled to get into the game from the left. Had a presentable chance when set up by Bellingham however the keeper kept it out. His replacement produced a bigger influence when substituted. 5/10
