The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of heroes who will split off from the main group to begin their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.
This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
With an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, attacking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.
The traitor then settled his obligations and fled to a secure base in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires revenge.
- The adventurer knows Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- However, their position as important members in House Halovar could help the group access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This results in them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in search of Casimir.
What’s Next?
From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Seekers and Strategists parties.
Audiences can expect discovering which players will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on the upcoming Thursday.
