England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show.

This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.

The show will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the best young player in Europe.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Being nominated for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
